Avatar Fantasy RPG and Oozi
16 06 11 - 17:16 It's been a while since I last updated the blog, so there's quite a bit of stuff to cover. The biggest news is that I released a RPG game recently. It's called Avatar Fantasy RPG and it's a remake of my old ASCII game I made for my "Programming I" classes. The game is a simple, turn based RPG focused only on combat, leveling-up and collecting items. It also features Xbox LIVE avatars as a hook point and nice illustations drawn by Andrzej. The game is nothing great, but it sold pretty well for a two week project (excluding the time I spent on it five years ago).
I also keep working on Oozi: Earth Adventure. We have recently submitted a build for Dream Build Play competition. I don't think it's going to win any cash prize since the game is just an old-school platformer with little innovation, we're rather hoping for a top 20 spot that would get us some extra dashboard exposure. Part of our submission was a new trailer covering the gameplay, if you'd like to watch it I included it at the end of the post.
And about the second episode of Oozi's Earth Adventure, we already have four story mode levels implemented, and we should be able to release the game sometime in July. I personally think that it's much more fun to play than the first one, but we'll have to wait to find out whether the gamers will like it as well.
